I've been using Microsoft office since 1985 when it was just Word. Along came Excel and PowerPoint and those three applications have been my productivity tools for over 30 years now. I've tried other options but I'm keeping my Office 365 subscription.
Other Tools I've tried and used
I'm rebuilding my MacMini server as a desktop mac so I thought I'd check out the latest Microsoft Office competitors.
Beautiful day in Pebble Beach.
I had been happy with the performance of my macMini but today it feels slow and unresponsive. I partitioned one of the drives yesterday and was struck by how slow installation and every day tasks were but I chalked it up to the older software I was installing on a spinning disk. But today, installing Libre Office seemed to take and unusually long time. I'll look into other causes but I suspect the length of time it took the installer to do it's work was related to the code itself more than this macMini.
Today's work was on the photo of the day.
