Software Sweet Spots

Before web-based applications.

I've been rebuilding older computers with the operating system and applications that were the 'best' combinations of the time. Today I'm building an iMac with Snow Leopard.

The iMac model is iMac7,1 from mid 2007. Mac OS X Snow Leopard (10.6) was released in 2012. The core applications, iLife and iWork '09 were sold as a boxed set with Leopard. I purchased the box set from Amazon in January 2009 for $199.

Process

I've been going back and forth with the computer. It has three partions so I could keep three different configurations; Leopard, Snow Leopard and El Capitan.
