One month with no missed days!
It's been important to me to do this every day. Not every day is insightful or even interesting but the discipline its created is important to me. There are so many things I'm not creating discipline around - time, food, activity - I thought I could start with this. The blog gives me a chance to do things that interest me and form some habits around it.
And so I've done it. Thirty one entries in January. I've already staged February with changes I've learned.
Big Sur Cattle Crossing - March 27, 2002
This picture is from 2002. I took an afternoon by myself to explore the coast hills just south of here. There's an old stage road that pre-dated the Bixby bridge and wound around through the cattle lands. This cattle guard was my gate to the Los Padres range along the Big Sur coastline.
That afternoon was one of my most productive picture taking sessions. The poppies on the hillside, the views of the Pacific ocean across the green hills, yellow mustard fields and closeups of wildlife all in a few hours. My camera was a Kodak DX3500 and was very limited but that only added to the productivity. In February I'll create a page with more photos from that trip. I have a page from 2003, I'll see if I can't do better.
